Q. Should I be applying dolomite lime to my lawn in spring?

A. It all depends on the pH of your soil. Dolomite lime helps to raise pH of soils, which is fine if the soil is acidic, as most soils on the Lower Mainland tend to be. However, in the Okanagan most soils are alkaline, so adding something to make soil pH even higher is not necessarily a good idea.If you're unsure have your soil tested; inquire at the store about our soil test kits or testing service.
