My friend bought me miniature roses for my birthday from your store in Kelowna. But the instructions don't say if they can stay outside all winter. They are about 5' from the house, in a fairly sheltered spot, and I can certainly cover them if necessary.

Yes, they can stay outside for the winter for they have to go thru a dormant cycle. Sheltered is good, but needs a least 6 hours of sun per day & lots of room (2 ft) for airspace, can be mulched for the winter to protect from frost.
