How can I tell if my rose bush has gone wild?

Do you see different growth patterns? You can detect a wild shoot quite easily. It will come up from low below the graft & will look different than the rest of the stock (ie different leaf & flower). You must cut this shoot off as soon as you notice it at the place where it originates, probably below ground level, otherwise it will multiply & eventually take over your plant with wild shoots.
